One of the Latest Major Infrastructure
It should be noted that transportation plays a very important role in Parramatta with it being one of four cities within the Sydney metropolitan area. The place is also known as major business and commercial centre, and is also home to the ninth largest shopping centre in Australia which is Westfield.
This in turn help made Parramatta a bustling suburb in Sydney. To help the citizens as well as tourists reach their destination in a timely and effective manner, new infrastructures are made in an effort to improve transportation. One of them can be found in the form of the Parramatta Light Rail.
NSW is proud to introduce the Parramatta Light Rail which is one of the latest major infrastructure projects of their Government. It is a twelve kilometre light rail line in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia that aims to link Westmead to Carlingford via Parramatta CBD and Camellia with a two-way track spanning 12 kilometres.
It should be noted that the new line will be separated completely from the existing and under construction lines and is handled by the New South Wales Government’s transport authority.
Parramatta Light Rail aims to connect the people of Parramatta creating new communities in the process. Aside from that, the Light Rail is also constructed in an effort to connect great sights and vistas while at the same time help both locals and visitors move around the region in an effortless fashion.
Having this mode of transport will also make it relatively easy for tourists to see what the region has to offer without worrying too much about their travels in the area.
It is very easy to feel excited about the Parramatta Light Rail especially with the different opportunities it will provide to their users. The huge amount of convenience it will be providing is something that people are looking forward to.
This also helps draw tourists to come visit Parramatta to be able to experience the Light Rail as well. With that being said, it should be noted that the light rail is still under its premature state which means there may still be changes made with their overall design and look.
Construction for the new Light Rail is expected to start in 2018 with an expected time of completion in 2023. During this time, the Parramatta Light Rail will be open for the public for use.
Our office is located at Suite 25, Lvl 3, 27 Hunter St, Parramatta NSW 2150. So as you come out from Merrylands Station, head south on Terminal Pl toward Merrylands Rd. Then turn right on Merrylands Rd.
Use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto Pitt St. In 2.6 kilometres, use the right lane to turn right onto Macquarie St. Keep right to stay on Macquarie St. Then slight right onto O’Connell St.
Finally, for 24 metres, turn right onto Hunter St. The destination will be on the left but the entrance of the building is facing O’Connell St.
